SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER - Security and Transportation Department (01/29/13)

Regular Full Time

Salary Grade: 09

Salary Range: $16.00 per hour.

Requires a high school graduate (or GED) with previous securityexperience to patrol the community via vehicle, answer calls, investigate and write accurate written reports on crime, property damage, fire, sudden death, traffic and non-traffic accidents. Theapplicant must be eligible to obtain a Special Police Commission and Handgun Permit in the state of Maryland. The qualified candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving and leadership skills and have the ability to manage multiple priorities and be able to handle difficult situations. A CPR Certification and an AED Certification are required. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record are also required. The scheduled hours for this position are: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. The schedule is subject to change. 

SANITATION DRIVER - Physical Properties Department (02/26/13)

Regular Full Time

Salary Grade: 09

Salary Range: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour.

Requires an energetic and dependable individual to help with trash and recyclable collections within the Leisure World Community. The person filling this position must have a current valid Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record and be able to lift 75-100 lbs. The scheduled hours for this position are: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

SECURITY GUARD - Security and Transportation Department (04/30/13)

Salary Grade: 07

Salary Range:  $11.85 per hour

Requires a dependable high school graduate (or GED) to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.  Duties will include working entrance gates and authorizing entry of residents, employees, visitors and contractors into the community. The person filling this position must have basic computer skills and strong communication and customer service skills. Prior security experience would be beneficial for this position. The schedule is subject to change as needed.

GOLF COURSE ATTENDANT 1 - Golf Pro Shop (04/09/13)

Salary Range: $8.00 per hour

Requires a dependable person to oversee the operation of the golf driving range, including retrieving and cleaning golf balls, overseeing daily cart operations and performing basic duties in the Golf Pro Shop. The person filling this position must have basic computer skills, strong customer service skills, and be familiar with Annual and Golf Club Membership. Must be able to lift 25+ lbs. Scheduled hours for this position are: Week one,  Monday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Week two, Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. This position is a casual position, approximately April through October..

Requires a dependable individual with previous golf course maintenance experience to help maintain the Leisure World Golf Course. Duties will include mowing, leaf blowing, weed eating, tree work, raking of bunkers, filling divots, and putting water coolers on the course. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Scheduled hours for this position are: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and every other weekend, 7:00 a.m. to 10: 00 a.m. This position is a temporary position approximately May through October 2013.
