The Foundation of Leisure World

The Foundation was formed in 1981 and tasked with enhancing the quality of life for Leisure World residents in the areas of culture, education and health.  This is done by furnishing equipment such as pianos, exercise machines and audio-visual systems that are not included in the community budget; by providing seed-money and guidance needed to form other organizations such as the Computer Center, the Center for Lifelong Learning, the Going-It-Alone-Club and the Retired Nurses Association; and by sponsoring performances by professional entertainers and educators so that the price of admission can be kept low and more residents can attend. 

 This is your Foundation and it needs your support.  It has been classified as a 501-C-3 organization by the Internal Revenue Service and your contributions are tax-deductible.  Donations may be made in honor or memory of any individual and will be acknowledged.  Brochures and contribution envelopes are available at the E&R offices where your donation will be gratefully accepted.  For additional information please contact David Young, President at 301-598-5268 or Nancy Gordon, Staff Secretary at 301-598-1336.
